Memon, Jameel condemn terrorist attack on PNS Mehran

Karachi, May 23, 2011 (PPI): Terming the terrorist attack on PNS Mehran a cowardly act, Sindh Minister for Information Sharjeel Inam Memon has said the motive behind the act was to subdue the nation but the people of Pakistan are standing alongside armed forces in the war against terrorists.

In a statement issued on Monday, he said a nation, determined to stand up for its sovereignty, is bound to succeed against all evil elements.

He urged the public to stay alert and keep their spirits high. He also urged them to fully cooperate with the law enforcement agencies and inform about any abnormal activity.

Minister for Inter Provincial Coordination Makhdoom Jameel uz Zaman also condemned the terrorist attack at PNS Mehran and said such attacks are carried out to destabilise the country.

In a statement issued from his office, he said the attack is on Pakistan’s sovereignty.

He laid emphasis on a highly effective inter-provincial coordination to counter the terrorist activities. He also stressed on using latest computerized technologies in Check Posts on border areas.

Lauding the efforts of forces’ personnel, Jameel said fully alert and enjoy support of the nation.

He urged all political and religious parties to support government in its fight against terrorists.
