American Army affirms the killing of 2 soldiers
Baghdad (NINA) – The American Army affirmed the killing of two of its soldiers in central Iraq.
A statement to the press issued on Sunday, May 22, The American Army said that two US soldiers killed on Sunday while participating in a military operation in central Iraq; it did not specify the operation's place or the type.
Earlier in the evening, polie said that two American soldiers killed and three others wounded when an improvised explosive device went off against an American convoy in Amiriya area, Baghdad.
The killing of these two soldiers brings the total number of American soldiers killed in Iraq since the invasion over more that eight years up to 4454, according to official American statements.
