Tatar-Austrian econ cooperation agreements signed at Kazan forum

KAZAN, May 22 (Itar-Tass) -- Agreements on economic cooperation were
signed at the Tatar-Austrian business forum in Kazan on Saturday.
A protocol of intentions between Tatarstan's government and the
Strabag AG company was signed by the republic's First Vice-Premier Ravil
Muratov and the company's director for regional management in Russia and
near abroad countries Gerhard Gritzner.
President of Tatarstan's Chamber of Commerce Shamil Ageyev and
Vice-President of Austria's Federal Economic Chamber Richard Schenz signed
a memorandum on mutual understanding between the republic's Chamber of
Commerce and Austria's economic development promotion institute.
The director-general of Tatarstan's Royal Time Group and the chairman
of the board of directors of the Austrian Gaming company signed a
memorandum of understanding.
The forum was opened by visiting Austrian President Heinz Fischer and
Tatarstan's head Rustam Minnikhanov. The business meeting was also
attended by Russian Ambassador to Austria Sergei Nechayev, head of the
Federal State of Burgenland Hans Niessl, Austrian Ambassador to Russia
Margot Klestil-Loeffler, head of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber
Christoph Leitl and representatives of business circles of Austria and
Tatarstan.
