Maliki: Iraq cannot be run without wisdom, justice, equality



Baghdad (NINA) - Prime Minister Nouri Al Maliki said that "Iraq cannot be run without wisdom, justice, and equality, and no class, nationality, or sect should be allowed to become a tyranny or hold a unilateral regime."

Maliki stressed, according to a statement issued by his office, during a reception of a number of tribal leaders and notables of Salahuddine Province, "the necessity that politicians work to strengthen and promote the building of the Iraqi state as a whole."

Maliki called for "promoting national reconciliation and to reduce wasting time with political disputes, and to dedicate all the time to develop the services provided to citizens."

The statement noted that the speakers, of the Sheikhs and dignitaries, stressed their support to the government in its orientation of strengthening national unity and to maintain security and stability in the province of Salahuddine.

Present at the meeting was Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ali Al Sejri.
