UKRAINE`S EMBASSY IN AZERBAIJAN ORGANIZES OFFICIAL RECEPTION

Baku,6 September,(AzerTAj) - Ukraine`s Embassy in Azerbaijan organized Friday an official reception to mark the country`s national holiday, Independence Day.

Ukraine`s Ambassador to Azerbaijan Boris Klimchuk said at the event after his country gained independence it took concrete steps to establish relations with all countries including Azerbaijan.

He stressed both countries` presidents have significant role in expanding bilateral relations. According to him, Ukraine is actively involved in realizing regional projects initiated by nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev.

The Ambassador noted the two countries` parliamentarians share the same position on the international organizations.

Attending the event, First Deputy Speaker of the Azerbaijan Milli Majlis (Azerbaijan) Ziyafat Asgarov congratulated the Ukrainian people on behalf of President Ilham Aliyev. He also spoke of friendly relations between the two countries.

The event also brought together Azerbaijani ministers, MPs, foreign ambassadors to Baku and others.
