EC sets ceiling for electoral campaign spending at Bt1.5m
BANGKOK, May 20 (TNA) - The Election Commission of Thailand (EC) has set each political candidate's spending on their electoral campaigns for the upcoming general election at no more than 1.5 million baht.
EC Chairman Apichart Sukkhaganond announced the decision on Friday, saying that the limit was agreed at a meeting of the election agency earlier in the day.
The EC has officially set July 3, 2011 the date for Thailand's new general election after the dissolution of the Thai House of Representatives recently. (TNA)
