BOI organizes two big events to attract foreign investors
BANGKOK, May 19 (TNA) - Thailand's Board of Investment (BOI) has organised two events, the Intermac and Subcon Thailand 2011, in order to promote Thai parts industries internationally.
BOI Secretary-General Atchaka Sibunruang said the three-day events held at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC) until this Saturday, would expectedly draw more industrial investments into Thailand.
Almost 200 foreign investors have so far made pledges to visit both events, which showed a growing confidence in Thailand's investment potential.
Separately, BOI’s Industrial Linkage Development Unit Director Chanin Khaojan said the Subcon Thailand 2011 event was the fifth of its kind, and that it should garner business deals worth at least 5 billion baht.
He added eco-car manufacturers such as Suzuki were also negotiating with potential parts producers in Thailand to cut down auto parts imports, which should help expand the markets of Thai auto parts producers. (TNA)
