PREMIER WORKS IN TOV
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The Prime Minister S.Batbold worked Wednesday in Tov aimag's Ugtaaltsaidam, Bornuur and Batsumber soums, and got acquainted with spring planting. He has also got au fait with activities of the “Agro complex” company and its technical renovation.
The company's director has said their company engaged in intensive animal husbandry and land farming planting on 1,000 hectares area in Ugtaaltsaidam soum and 350 hectares in Bornuur soum. The planting has intensified thanks to providing with equipment from Germany. He has said the company imported the European techniques and technologies for farming in a scope of the governmental policy on introducing the European standards, appreciating the cabinet decision to exempt the farm technologies from customs tax.
The Premier has signed a memorandum on cooperating with tractor factories of the Czech Zetor and Parmet companies and installing their techniques. In accordance with the memorandum, high-capacity tractors and cultivating techniques will be imported.
The Premier has seen how an elevator with 36,000 tons capacity was put ito use and a technical and technological renovation was going in Ugtaaltsaidam soum. An official from the Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry L.Bayartulga has said this year's harvest will be stored in an elevator which will be erected with a non-refundable aid of MNT 3.5 billion from Japan.
Then S.Batbold has visited a family of N.Lhagvasuren in Talyn-Uul baga (smallest administrative unit in localities), attended an opening ceremony of irrigation system in Bornuur soum thanks to which some 1,000 jobs have been created and the vity will be fully provided with potatoes and vegetables.
S.Batbold has got au fait with farming area of the “Agro Alfa” in Batsumber soum. The company's irrigated areas are planted with seed and food potatoes of the Sante, Impala and Vitara sorts; equipped with Canadain technology, the company plants potatoes, vegs and fodder plants on 136 hectares a year, prepares 1,500 tons of potatoes and 1,500-2,000 tons silage. The farmers have noted that the “Mongolian potato” national program has been fruiful.
Then the Premier visited the “Polivit” company which plants sea-buckthorn.
