Maliki criticizes some ministries "which continue appointing the minister’s acquaintances"

Baghdad (NINA) - Prime Minister Nouri Al Maliki criticized some of the ministries which continue appointing people close to the minister.

He said, in a speech at Sunday's cabinet meeting "there are ministries do not give opportunity to others who cannot get a job nor have a relative official in the state department."

He added "those ministers need to review this stance to open the way for citizens to get the opportunity to compete."

Regarding the 100 days period that he gave to ministries for evaluation, Maliki called on the ministers to prepare a detailed report on the achievements and the obstacles that hinder their work, so that the government puts a schedule for activating its work, after the 100 days he has given.

He explained "the 100 days deadline which ends on June 7 is a re-assessment of all state institutions, and we need more meetings in the Cabinet, in addition to the access of the follow up Committee that follows the work of ministries and identify the strengths and weaknesses in the work of the government." /End/
