Thailand-Israel clinch deal on medical cooperation

BANGKOK, May 17 (TNA) - Thailand and Israel have agreed to embark on a new medical cooperation for the research of cancer.

Professor Dr. Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Walailak said when meeting with Israeli President Shimon Peres in Jerusalem on Monday (May 16) that Bangkok, through the Chulabhorn Research Institute, will join forces with Israel's Rambam Hospital on cancer research projects, covering exchanges of relevant medical personnel and information.

But while on the way to visit the Israeli President, the Thai Princess was lightly wounded when her car was involved in a minor traffic accident. She, however, proceeded to see the Israeli top leader, as scheduled, and only afterwards went for a medical check-up.

Professor Dr. Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn, who founded the Chulabhorn Research Institute, signed the agreement with the Israeli Rambam Hospital, located in the Haifaon City, on Sunday (May 15).(TNA)
