Qatar Charity to Implement QR 37 million Fisheries Project in Gaza Strip



Gaza, May 15 (QNA) - Qatar Charity and Palestinian Agriculture Ministry in Gaza Strip have signed here a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to implement the project for emergency fishing and fisheries sector at a cost of about QR 37 million.
The project comes to materialize the Emiri gesture offered by HH the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani to support the fisheries sector in the Gaza Strip, aimed at promoting food security projects for the Palestinian people and install their rights and enhance their endurance.
The MoU was signed for the government in the Gaza Strip by the Minister of Agriculture Dr. Mohammed Ramadan Al-Agha, while it was signed for Qatar Charity , by Director of its Office in Gaza Strip Abdul Razak al Gharabawi.
In a press statement on this occasion, Dr. Agha said the project is the largest grant to be presented to the Fisheries sector at Ministry of Agriculture since 2000, which will have a positive impact on the agriculture and fisheries sector in Palestine .. and expressed his thanks and appreciation for the efforts made by HH the Emir of Qatar, Qatari people and institutions working in Palestine, led by Qatar Charity for supporting the agriculture and fisheries in the Palestinian territories.
For his part, Abdul Razzaq al-Gharabawi, Director of Qatar Charity Office in the Gaza Strip said the signing of the agreement comes within the framework of the QC keenness on strengthening the steadfastness of the Palestinian people and in support of agriculture and fisheries sector in Palestine, which is one of the most important pillars of sustainable development Qatar Charity was working to promote .(QNA)
