Shahbandar: the Parliament vote on the VPs, a black point in its history

Baghdad (NINA) - MP from the National Alliance-State of Law Coalition, Izzat Al Shahbandar, described the Parliament vote on the Vice President post as a black spot in its history.

Shahbandar said in a statement to NINA on Sunday "the Parliament vote on the VPs is a black spot in its history, strengthening the policy of deals, and a waste of public money."

He added "the Parliament should cancel the policy that deals not to strengthen it through this quota of the positions."

The religious clergy in Najaf opposed the election of three VPs as that issue increases the burden on the government which is already suffering, but, some blocks within the National Alliance voted for Adel Abdul Mahdi, Tariq Al Hashimi, and Khudair Al Khuzae for the VPs posts in one basket.
