Parliamentary Assembly to discuss CSTO



St PETERSBURG, May 15 (Itar-Tass) - Council of the Parliamentary
Assembly of the countries making up the CIS Collective Security Treaty
Organization /CSTO/ is expected to meet in session in the Tauride Palace
here Sunday under the presidency of Russia's State Duma speaker, Boris
Gryzlov.
The participants will look at the results of a session of the CSTO
Collective Security Council that was held in December 2010 and will review
the financing of the program for harmonization of national legislative
acts within the CSTO, especially the ones that concern counteraction to
illegal migration, trading in people, and ensuring of information security.
CSTO Secretary General Nikolai Bordyuzha and the chairman of State
Duma's security committee, Vladimir Vassilyev, who is also chairman of the
Parliamentary Assembly's standing committee on defense and security, will
address the conference.
On the same day, the Parliamentary Assembly's standing committee on
political issues and international cooperation is due to meet in the
Tauride Palace.
