MP: Iraq will not tolerate Kuwaiti provocations for long, will demand compensation for helping the US occupy it

Baghdad (NINA) - MP from Iraqiya Slate, Mohammed Salman, said "the Kuwaiti officials should understand that Iraq will not remain silent for a long time for the provocations by Kuwait through their quest to stifle Iraq from all sides to prevent its uprising.”

He said in a statement to NINA on Saturday "Kuwait will be the first country that Iraq will demand compensation from because it is a contributing partner with the United States in destroying it."

He urged the Iraqi government "not to go easy with the interests of the Iraqi people for uunstable relations", revealing that there is a committee that will be formed that would include politicians, MPs, intellectuals, tribal leaders and writers that will demand Kuwait to pay reparations to the Iraqi people for the damage and devastation resulting from the occupation that took place with the assistance of Kuwait."

Kuwait announced in April the start of the implementation of Port (Mubarak) on the Bubiyan Island. Several economists regard it as a step to curb the movement of maritime transport of Iraq and prevent Iraq from the establishment of a large seaport outlet connecting it with various countries of the world.
