Fair of RF institutes of higher education to open in India's south

CHENNAI (India), May 14 (Itar-Tass) -- An exhibition-fair of Russia's
institutes of higher education will open in one of the biggest
South-Indian cities - - Chennai. More than ten institutes of higher
education of Russia will be presented at it. The Russian Centre of
International Education (RCIE) and the Rossotrudnichestov mission in India
came out as the exhibition organizers.
"India's south today is a perspective region where industry and the
sphere of services are developing at a rapid pace. The population's
Interest in education is constantly growing here," RCIE director Sayed
Kamuzzaman told ITAR-TASS. "We intend to provide complete information on
Russian universities and institutes and tell Indian young people about
advantages of training in Russia."
Institutes of different cities and regions of Russia - - Moscow, Tver,
Volgograd, Tomsk, Rostov-on-Don, Bashkorotstan and Mari-El will take part
in the exhibition. Round-table meetings and seminars with the
participation of teachers of Indian colleges and meetings with
representatives of the city authorities of India's south will be held
during the holding of institutes' presentation ceremonies. The organizers
set themselves the task to attract attention of Indian students not only
to medical institutes of Russia which are traditionally popular with them,
but to technical and humanitarian universities as well.
The exhibition-fair of Russian institutes of higher education is
annually held in India.
