Russia fails to reach ice-hockey championship finals


BRATISLAVA, May 14 (Itar-Tass) - Finland beat Russia in the semis at
the ice-hockey championship in Bratislava 3-0 on Saturday, dashing the
hopes of Vyacheslav Bykov's team to make it to the finals.
Mikael Granlund (36th minute), Jani Lajunen (48) and Jarkko Immonen
(50) scored for Finland.
In the May 15 finals, Finland will play Sweden, and Russia will
compete with the Czech Republic for the bronze.
