Iranian TV series to explore private life of last shah
TEHRAN, May 14 (MNA) -- Iranian director Mohammadreza Varzi plans to make a TV series on the private life of Iran’s last monarch, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi.
Entitled “Puzzle of the Shah”, the TV series will be broadcast on one of the channels of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting, producer Ali Ladoni told the Persian service of the Fars News Agency on Friday.
Farid Mostafavi is currently writing the script for the 30-episode series.
Moahammad Reza Pahalvi was the shah of Iran from 1941 to 1979.
Varzi has previously portrayed periods of Iranian history in the TV series “Years of the Constitution”, “Tabriz in the Fog” and “The Western Edifice”.
Iranian viewers have not given a warm reception to Varzi’s previous TV series.
