Japan cancels tsunami alert after new earthquake



TOKYO, May 14 (Itar-Tass) - A magnitude 5.7 earthquake rocked
northeastern Japan on Saturday. The national meteorological agency
announced tsunami threat on the coast, but canceled the warning several
minutes later.
There have been no casualty reports, and transport continued its
operation.
The quake was centered near the coast of the Fukushima prefecture, at
a depth of 20 kilometers under the seabed. Earth tremors were felt in 17
of Japan's 47 prefectures, including Tokyo.
