Qatar withdraws from Gulf-brokered plan for Yemen

KUWAIT CITY, May 13 (Itar-Tass) -- Qatar withdrew from a plan brokered
by the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) that aimed at resolving the crisis
in Yemen because of delayed signing of the deal and continued violence,
the state news agency QNA said on Thursday.
"Qatar was forced to take this action because of the stalling in
signing the proposed agreement ..., the continued escalation, the
intensity of the confrontations," QNA reported.
