CABINET MEETING IN BRIEF

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The cabinet has discussed a draft amendment to the law on stamp duty and annulling of some clauses, and then decided to convey to the initiator MPs a proposal to consider it together with the same draft amendment that was drawn up by the cabinet in April of 2011.
- The cabinet has withdrawn a draft law on electronic signature which was submitted to parliament December 19, 2010, and other related bills. The parliamentary Standing committee on justice has issued some principal proposals on the draft law at a discussion process.
- A cabinet decision has been made to establish a new unit of firefighting in Bulgan soum, Khovd aimag.
- In the first quarter of 2011, implementation of 5,648 clauses of 3,728 decisions including parliamentary resolutions, President's decrees, recommendations of the National Security Council (NSC), cabinet resolutions, orders of the Premier, and cabinet notes stood at 74.9 per cent.
- The cabinet has allowed Yo.Otgonbayar, the Minister of Education, Culture and Science to make full-size feature-and-documentary films about Kh.Choibalsan and J.Batmonkh, outstanding state figures of Mongolia. Money of MNT 74 million will be allotted from the reserved fund to make the film named "Independence" about Kh.Choibalsan, and MNT 55.4 million--for the film about J.Batmonkh. The films will be transmitted to the state archive.
