ABOUT LANDS TO BE OWNED BY PEOPLE AND ENTERPRISERS
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ On Wednesday, the cabinet at its meeting approved a resolution on the total size, locations and purposes of lands to be owned by citizens in 2011, based on proposals of the Citizens' Representative Khural of the city and aimags. The Minister of Roads, Transportation, Construction and Urban Development Kh.Battulga has been ordered to control the resolution's realization.
This year, 15.6 thousand hectares areas are expected to be owned without charge, of which 17.3 per cent is being used, 77.4 per cent will be taken by new owners, and 5.3 per cent is located along paved-roads. Lands of 2.5 thousand hectares will be owned by enterprisers. Some 72 per cent of the lands will be used for planting grain, 24 per cent--for potatoes and vegetables, and 3.2 per cent--for other purposes except the land agriculture.
Since an approval of the law on land ownership, 245,345 people have owned 27,348.99 hectares for family purposes.
