Thai PM changes official car
BANGKOK, May 12 (TNA) - Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva has had his official bulletproof vehicle taken back to comply with election rules in the run-up to Thailand’s July 3 elections.
The vehicle change comes following discussions with the Election Commission, that disallow Mr Abhisit’s use of the vehicle outside office hours.
Starting Thursday, the Democrat leader will instead, enjoy riding in a dark blue Mercedes Benz 500-Series, as dedicated by his party.
Meanwhile, Mr Abhisit has reportedly continued his normal duties, beginning with an early-morning meeting with his close-aides, and is scheduled to attend an orientation for new Democrat members later in the day. (TNA)
