Jameel-uz-Zaman takes step for journalist’s treatment
Karachi, May 11, 2011 (PPI): Sindh Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination and Chairman Sindhi Adabi Board Makhdoom Jameel-uz-Zaman has directed Secretary of Sindhi Adabi Board to get in touch with the health department Sindh regarding details of medical treatment given to senior writer Tariq Alam Abro and also to send a summary in this regard to the CM for approval.
He said Abro is suffering from serious kidney trouble and approval of summary by CM Syed Qaim Ali Shah will set things right to take all necessary steps for journalist’s treatment.
The report of special medical board, constituted with regard to Abro’s illness, will be sent to the CM from the health department.
It is pertinent to mention that special medical board was constituted when Jameel-uz-Zaman made efforts for its establishment.
The minister said government will continue to support writers, intellectuals, poets, etc. because they are assets of the country.
