New service to operate on Azerbaijan's main roads
Azerbaijan, Baku, May 11 / Trend T. Hajiyev / From today, an ambulance service will operate on Azerbaijani highways, Emergency Situations Minister Kamaladdin Heydarov told media.
The new service will provide prompt medical care during accidents on highways, Heydarov said.
"There are no medical facilities on many main roads in Azerbaijan," he said. "Therefore, ambulance teams fail to arrive rapidly and victims often die."
The service will operate in five areas, he said.
The most modern equipment was bought for the service.
