Iran's “Mysterious Gifts”, “Mud” to go on stage in South America

TEHRAN, May 11 (MNA) -- Iranian stage artist Yaser Khaseb will perform his “Mysterious Gifts” and “Mud” in South American countries in the near future.

Khaseb accompanied by the Crazy Body Theater Troupe will stage the plays in Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador and Cuba, he told the Persian service of MNA.

In the play “Mud”, his co-performer Hamid Etemedi as a sculptor forms Khaseb out of mud. Caked in dirt, Khaseb is poured from a barrel and shaped, and ultimately asserts himself before the artist.

The solo silent puppet show “The Mysterious Gift” narrates the story of birth until death. The play in which Khaseb is the only actor puts emphasis on performance and music.

Khaseb also talked about his joint performance with the Japanese director Izumi Ashizawa saying that she will travel to Tehran in late May.

“She will pay for the expenses of her trips herself. We do not expect any financial support from the Center for Dramatic Arts but only allocating a place for rehearsal,” he said.

Khaseb has performed two plays in different international events in two different countries.
