5 more killed, ANP leader kidnapped

Karachi, May 10, 2011 (Pakistan Observer): Five more persons were targeted in the city as the ongoing killing spree continues. An activist of Muhajir Qaumi Movement-Haqiqi and two others were among the victims. Four others lost their lives in different incidents. According to the details, unknown culprits shot dead an activist of Sunni Tehrik in North Nazimabad police jurisdiction. Police said that Shahid Qadri was sitting at a PCO in Mujahid colony when unknown culprits riding on bike reached and opened fire on him, he died on the spot. Orangi police recovered a body of a young boy, 18, in the morning. He was shot in head.
He was identified as Nuroz Baloch. Police investigation was on. In another incident, MQM worker Ishtiaq, son of Mushtaq, was critically injured by firing. He was shifted to hospital. Moreover early morning Awami Nation Party provincial leader Faiz Ahmed Kakar was kidnapped by unknown culprits.
According to the reports in Gulshan-e-Maymar unknown culprits stopped a car No.VRB 937 in which ANP leader along with his two friends Khairul Rehman and Umer Rehman was moving .The culprits kidnapped the car on gun point. Later the culprits released two of his friends in a deserted area of Gulshan-Maymar and took ANP UC in charge Faiz Ahmed Kakar along with them. Police was searching the culprits.
