Young Thai agriculturists to take training in Japan

BANGKOK, May 10 (TNA) - Twenty-one representatives of the Thai agricultural youth group have been selected from across the country to participate in an agricultural exchange program in Japan from May 2011 to March 2012.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives Niwat Sutheemechaikul wished the youth trainees well before their departure to Japan, hoping that they will be able to relate the knowledge they gained to their daily lives, sustainably heightening the capacity of Thailand's agricultural sector to achieve better performance and become well-accepted internationally.
Staying with Japanese farming families will allow Thai youth to experience firsthand the countryside of a well-developed agriculture country. They will also learn new skills and ways of thinking as well as the principles of labor ethics and discipline held by Japanese farmers. (TNA)
