NUMBER OF UNEMPLOYED AND JOB SEEKERS INCREASE
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The number of unemployed who had registered at Labor and Welfare Service Divisions both in aimags and capital city, and those were actively looking for job reached 41.7 thousand at the end of April, 2011, reflecting an increase of 3,629 persons or 9.5 per cent against the previous year.
Compared to the same period of the previous year, the increase in the number of registered unemployed was mainly due to the increases in Ulaanbaatar city (2,690 persons), Khovd (911 persons), Ovorkhangai (852 persons), Zavkhan (530 persons), Tov (244 persons), Bulgan (231 persons), and Arkhangai (222 persons).
