Quake measuring 5,8 points occurs at Honshu east coast
VLADIVOSTOK, May 10 (Itar-Tass) - There was an earthquake with a
magnitude of 5.8 points at the eastern coast of the Japanese Honshu Island
at 06:15, local time (00:15 MSK).
According to the US Geological Survey, the quake epicentre was in the
Pacific Ocean 239 kilometres southeast of Sendai and 270 kilometres east
of Fukushima. The seismic focus was at a depth of 29.9 kilometres under
the ocean bed. There have been no reports about the quake effects.
