The memorandum of understanding (MOU), signed on Friday by MCOT President Tanawat Wansom and KBS President Kim In-Kyu, covers the two sides' exchange of television and radio programmes and other related materials, as well as TV production and personnel training and general matters of cooperation and management.

MCOT, formerly known as the Mass Communication Organization of Thailand, is a state enterprise under the supervision of the Prime Minister's Office. The organisation was then registered as a public limited company on August 17, 2004 and listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) on October 8 the same year.

KBS, founded in 1953, is South Korea's leading news station widely accepted for both its content and presentation style. KBS services cover television and radio channels, including KBS World TV and KBS World Radio. (TNA)
