China, RF achieve huge dvlpmnt of bilateral relations-FM

MOSCOW, May 6 (Itar-Tass) -- Over ten years that passed since the
signing of the interstate Treaty on Good-Neighbourliness and Cooperation,
China and Russia have achieved "enormous development of bilateral
relations," Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi said upon the conclusion
of his talks with Sergei Lavrov on Friday.
"During these years, our countries resolutely supported each other" in
the issues connected with ensuring of sovereignty and national security.
"The border issue, which was inherited by us from the past, has been
settled," Yang Jiechi stressed.
The favourable climate in the two neighbour states' political
relations made it possible to quickly expand their economic cooperation:
bilateral trade turnover "approached 60 billion dollars" a year, the
Chinese foreign minister said.
