DRAFT AMENDMENTS SUBMITTED

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ Z.Enkhbold and S.Erdene MPs submitted Wednesday a draft amendment to the Criminal law to parliament Speaker D.Demberel.
Those who breach election law never are held liable, so by means of amending the law on elections is is needed to cease illegal acts and serious breaches that occur during elections, say the bill initiators.
They have said that illegal attempts to gain the state power is prohibited by the Constitution of Mongolia, so every such an attempt or doing must be punished, and this has been reflected in the bill.
The Speaker has said that promises to give money or material things to voters during elections really spoil the process, and "it must be abolished."
The same day, The Speaker received another draft from D.Ochirbat and D.Oyunkhorol MPs concerning the law on the State Great Khural. The initiators say that a word "health" must be included in the name of the parliamentary Standing committee on social policy, education, culture and science, "because the commitee does deal with the health matters." As they think, the name must sound "the Standing committee on social policy".
