BNS: BOC Pakistan Rs 100 million investment for nitrous oxide (N2O) plant
Lahore, Sept 3 PPI: Pakistan's leading industrial gases company, BOC Pakistan Limited Wednesday announced over Pak Rupee 100 million investment (about Euros 900,000) to install a nitrous oxide (N2O) plant at Multan, in Punjab province with annual capacity of 325,000 Kgs.
It currently operates a 60 TPD (tonnes per day) carbon dioxide (CO2) manufacturing facility at Multan.
"This is one of more investment tranches to come in BOC Pakistan, reinforcing
our aggressive growth, investment strategy and
commitment to Pakistan market. The new project is scheduled to be commissioned by
early 2009," Country Head, Ayaz Bokhari, said on Wednesday.
This announcement is in addition to already announced investment of Rs. 214
million (Euros 2 million) in January last to expand
existing CO2 business. BOC Pakistan Ltd., is a member of The Linde Group, a world
leading gases and engineering company with over 50,000 employees working in around
100 countries. In 2007 financial year, it achieved sales of EUR 12.3 billion.
