Development schemes in Khyber Agency would help remove deprivations: Hameedullah Afridi

LAHORE, May 04, 2011 (PPI): Chairman Intellectual Organization of Pakistan and Member National Assembly N.A 46 Hameedullah Jan Afridi has said that the sense of deprivation of Khyber Agency would be dispelled by initiating developmental and public welfare activities in the neglected areas and efforts would be made to acquire adequate funds for carrying out schemes of water supply, education, health and road communication in the less privileged areas.

He expressed these views while talking to the representatives of Khyber, Jamrood and Tirrah areas of Khyber Agency at Islamabad. He said that during the past three years although a number of development schemes had been completed in these areas but people are still facing hardships to get basic amenities of life and every possible effort would be made to mitigate the sufferings of tribesmen.

Hameedullah Jan Afridi asked the international donor agencies to focus their attention for rebuilding of those FATA areas which had been damaged during the war against terror and extend help to the persons who had been deprived from their belongings and compelled to live in IDP’s camps in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa.

Earlier, people of Khyber Agency briefed about the problems of their areas and appropriate action demanded to resolve the grievances of the inhabitants.
