MONGOLIA-FINLAND INTER-GOV'T COMMISSION'S MEETING HELD

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The 11th meeting of the Mongolia-Finland inter-governmental commission of economic, science and technical cooperation was held April 28-29 in Helsinki, Finland.
The has been co-chaired by T.Gandi, Mongolia's Minister of Social Welfare and Labor, and by Esko Hamilo, the Under-Secretary of State of Finland's Ministry for Foreign Affairs.
The sides have shared information on a present socio-economic situation of the two countries and the biggest measures to be taken in the nearest future, and shared views on the bilateral relations and cooperation. They have agreed to boost a cooperation in introducing to Mongolia a developmental model of Finland, as well as principles, standards and norms of Europe.
Led by Gandi delegation has run meetings with Pertti Torstila, the Secretary of State at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs; Jyrki Myllyvirta, a manager of Lahti city; and other officials. The sides have decided to seek an opportunity to cooperate in the fields of education, culture, sciences, environment, renewable energy, mineral resources and geology. Moreover, they have agreed to intensify the collaboration in social welfare, labor and health sectors.
In has been decided to organize the next meeting in 2013 in Ulaanbaatar.
