Libya govt regrets over attacks on embassies in Tripoli
LONDON, May 2 (Itar-Tass) -- The Libyan government expressed regret
over the attacks delivered on several foreign diplomatic missions in
Tripoli, the BBC radio station reported from the Libyan capital on Monday.
The uncontrolled mobs were attacking the embassies, a Libyan
governmental official said. The fact that the dramatic events took place
early in the morning caused more difficulties, he said.
The embassy buildings of Great Britain and Italy were heavily damaged.
The UN mission building was damaged either.
