PM: Thai Government will continue working after House dissolution

BANGKOK, May 1 (TNA) - Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva said on Sunday that his government will continue with its work without any vacuum after the dissolution of Thailand's House of Representatives in the coming days.

Abhisit revealed that he had told his Cabinet members to propose urgent issues to the Thai Cabinet's next weekly meeting on May 3, but they would not pass any project which had not undergone scrutiny by concerned agencies.

The Thai premier insisted that after the House dissolution, his government will be discreet on its actions but will continue working at its best to prevent a vacuum.

The Democrat premier said that he will meet the Election Commission of Thailand (EC) on Monday (May 2) to discuss a fair election, and that he has ordered his Cabinet members to remove their advertisement boards to prove that they are supporting a fair election.

Abhisit also assured that all political parties will have fair chances to present their policies to the public through media.(TNA)
