Kazakhstan prolongs ban on export of some oil products

ASTANA, April 30 (Itar-Tass) -- Kazakhstan has prolonged the ban on
export of a number of oil products until July 1, 2011. A corresponding
ordinance, signed by Prime Minister Karim Masimov was published the
government's media on Saturday.
The document notes that this decision was adopted "with the aim of
preventing price rise in the internal market of oil products."
The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the republic was
instructed to inform the states-participants in the Customs Union (CU), as
well as the secretariat of the CU Commission on the introduction of the
given ban, as well as submit a proposal on using such measures by other CU
member-countries.
The ban on export of some kinds of oil products was introduced in
Kazakhstan in May 2010 and is valid until May 1, 2011.
