Libya will not surrender even if bombings last 40 yrs - Gaddafi's son

CAIRO, April 30 (Itar-Tass) -- Son of the leader of the Libyan
revolution Muamar Gaddafi, Seif al-Islam, has said that Libya will not
surrender, even if NATO bombardments last 40 years.
"It does not matter for how long bombardments in Libya may continue -
40 days or 40 years. We shall not surrender," he said in a life newscast
on local television.
Earlier, Seif al-Islam said that instead of dealing strikes on Libya
the United States should help it fight Al-Qaida, which, according to the
Libyan authorities, is behind the latest developments in the country.
As soon as Misurata and Benghazi have been freed from terrorists, said
Gaddafi's son, "the time will come for talks on national reconciliation
and democracy within the framework of a new constitution, by which the
role of my father in the state will become a token one."
