XINJIANG BIZMEN SEEKING PARTNERSHIPS WITH RI COUNTERPARTS
Urumqi, China, Sept 3 (ANTARA) - Xinjian businessmen in China are keenly interested in setting up partnerships with Indonesian counterparts, Indonesian trade attache in Beijing, Imbang Listiyadi, said here on Wednesday.
"Businessmen in Xinjiang are really eager to enter into partnerships with Indonesian counterparts and their interest should be responded to positively," Imbang Listiyadi said.
He made the statement on the sidelines of Indonesia's participation in the ongoing Urumqi Fair 2008 Sept 1-4, 2008, which is participated in by 12 countries and various companies across China.
In the first two days of the exhibition, many Xinjiang businessmen were eager to get information about doing business with Indonesian partners and efforts to step up trade relations with Indonesia.
In addition, businessmen from Central Asian countries such as Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Armenia also showed great interest in making business contacts with Indonesian peers.
"Almost every day businessmen from Xinjiang and Central Asian countries ask about the potentials of doing business with Indonesia, and therefore we provide them with brochures containing business information on Indonesia," Imbang said.
He expressed hope that after the Urumqi Fair 2008 many of the businessmen from Xinjiang and Central Asian countries would build business partnerships with Indonesian counterparts.
