Thai PM sends goodwill message for British royal wedding

BANGKOK, April 29 (TNA) - Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva has sent a message of goodwill to the royal nuptials of the British Prince William and his bride Kate Middleton, as billions around the world are expected to watch Friday’s momentous ceremony.

Speaking at a morning press conference, Thani Thongpakdee, Director-General of the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Department of Information, said that the Thai premier has expressed his genuine good wishes and wants to congratulate to the royal couple on behalf of all the Thai people.

Thani, who is also the ministry's spokesman, also reiterated long-established relations between the British and Thai Kingdoms, saying that Thailand will join the world to give audience to the propitious occasion, wishing the couple ever-lasting happiness. (TNA)
