Thai-Cambodian army commanders discuss a truce

BANGKOK, April 28 (TNA) - After six days of border clashes, local army commanders of Thailand and Cambodia entered into truce negotiations on Thursday and a relief is expected.
Thai Army Chief General Prayuth Chan-ocha said that Thailand’s 2nd Army chief who supervises the Northeast and his Cambodian counterpart held talks and wanted a truce.
General Prayuth noted that authorities concerned will be monitoring the situation from Thursday afternoon until Friday, and that all parties expected a relief as no one wanted a war. (TNA)
