US top envoy meets Thai PM on border rows with Cambodia
BANGKOK, April 28 (TNA) - US Ambassador to Thailand Kristie Kenney visited Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva at Government House in Bangkok on Thursday to discuss ongoing Thai-Cambodian border rows.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, the US top envoy said that Washington wants to see the two neighbouring countries settle their border rows through peaceful means.
The US ambassador noted that the US government regarded the unsettled border issues as bilateral problems between Thailand and Cambodia. She then urged Bangkok and Phnom Penh to return to the negotiating table as soon as possible to end pending rows. (TNA)
