Earthquake of 5,0 points occurs at east coast of Kamchatka

PETROPAVLOVSK-KAMCHATSKY (Itar-Tass) - There was an
earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 points at the eastern coast of
Kamchatka. No casualties or destruction have been reported, the Kamchatka
branch of the Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences told
Itar-Tass.
The earthquake was registered at 04:26, local time, Tuesday (20:26
MSK, Monday). The epicentre was located in the Karaginsky Bay 85
kilometres from the Ossora district centre in the Koryak area in the
northeast of the peninsula. The seismic focus was at a depth of about 30
kilometres.
According to the press service of the Russian Emergency Situations
Ministry's (EMERCOM) main department for the Kamchatka Territory, the
earth tremors were not felt in populated localities of the territory. No
tsunami alert was announced.
