GTZ WANTS TO HELP ULAANBAATAR

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ A vice Mayor of Ulaanbaatar city, B.Baatarzorig has received representatives of the German agency for Technical cooperation /GTZ/.
Regarding the state-private sector partnership, Germany has implemented some 160 projects, but still faces two major problems--the money, and following them issues. "Our GTZ has an experience in seeking and solviong these problems, so we think we can help your city in this matter," said the visitors.
In response, Baatarzorig said Mongolia approved a concession law, according to which road works have been done and the state-privatre sector ties have been strengthening, "but since it is only the start, we may be doing mistakes." Mongolia needs related specialists, "so we want to train them in Germany and other countries," he went on.
If the GTZ help create a proper legal environment and if Mongolia does not have any eonomics problems, "we will have a chance to develop," said Baatarzorig.
Donor's meeting will run this May 10 in Ulaanbatar that will consider concession law and legal environment.
