"GENDER AND NATURE ENVIRONMENT": WHAT IS COMMON?

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ A campaign named “Gender and nature environment” is to run April 25-30 co-organized by Ministry of Environment and nature, National committee on gender equality, a “Climatic change or biodiversity-usage and protection of natural resources” programme.
Since the nature and climate changes have been affecting environment, people health, social life, and the country's development, it has been needed to make the environment policy sensitive to the gender. If not to do so, many problems will be increasing when foetus undergoes mutation, mothers and infants' mortality go up due to air pollution, and when women and children fall victims to natural disasters.
The campaign's first action is a meeting that has run at National agency of Meteorology, Hydrology and environment monitoring. The gathered state and nongovernmental organizations, civil society and international institutions have considered nature environment and gender issues.
