Iranian cartoonist awarded at Syrian contest
TEHRAN, April 24 (MNA) -- Iranian cartoonist Sadeq Baqeri was awarded at the 7th Syria International Cartoon Contest 2011.
Baqeri won the special prize of the contest which was on the theme of Plastic Surgery.
The Golden Prize of the contest went to Gruspier Jozef (Slovakia). Hundreds of cartoonists from 81 countries participated in the event.
Ireneusz Parzyszek and Marcin-Bondarowicz (Poland), Mehmet Kahraman (Turkey), Nikola Hendrickx (Belgium), Tawan Chuntra (Thailand) and Igor Smirnov (Russia) are other winners of Special Prizes from the contest.
