Foreign agendas behind sectarianism in Iraq, says Hakim
Baghdad (NINA) –The Head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, pointed out that “Iraq did not witness sectarian conflicts since ages,” stressing that “The foreign agendas are behind the sectarianism in Iraq.”
A statement by the SIIC quoted Hakim as saying while visiting Samawa Mosque in Muthana province on Saturday “Iraq has guarantees to eliminate the plans to be carried out through the foreign agendas.”
“Muthana province is among the symbols of plurality and brotherhood in Iraq,” he continued, calling to “consolidate the solidarity and the unity among the Iraqis to rebuild Iraq.”
