Fiery gyrocopter crash kills pilot in NSW
(AAP) - A fiery gyrocopter crash has left a man dead in north-western NSW.
Emergency services were called to a paddock about 20km west of Coonamble where a gyrocopter crashed at 1.50pm (AEST) and burst into flames.
Police say paramedics treated the 49-year-old male pilot and sole occupant at the scene and then rushed him to Coonamble Hospital where he later died.
Local police and the Australian Sport and Rotor Craft Association have begun an investigation into the crash.
