GPC calls for abandoning extremism, prioritizing national interests
SANA'A, Sep. 01 (Saba)- General Peoples' Congress (GPC)
congratulated on Monday Yemenis inside and outside the country and
the Yemeni leadership on the occasion of Ramadan, 26sep.net reported
on Monday.
In its statement on this occasion, the GPC urged the Yemeni people
to make use of the fasting of Ramadan by adopting tolerance and
brotherhood, giving up extremism and hatred, and prioritizing
national interests.
The GPC General Secretariat called all citizens of Yemen, the
political forces and civil organizations to embody the spirit of
unity and discard separation as well as to deepen principles of the
national unity.
It also asked concerned bodies in the government to evaluate and
better religious speech and to stop exploiting mosques pulpits to
spread culture of extremism or partisan promotion.
